Fixed the looping and the jacket symbol has been broken up. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed animating it. BTW, I'm in love with Flash. XD

All animation done by me in Adobe Flash CS6

Is Flash still being used a lot? I really like this piece! Have you done more work with this character since last Oct?

Yeah, a lot of animators still rely on Flash because it's the best animation program out there. I know for sure, I'll probably be using it for years to come. Thank you! I'm glad you like it! Yeah, I actually finished a turnaround and a few illustrations with him and I'm about to finish a model sheet and a 3D model of him.

I failed to figure out how to move an animation. You know, as in animating a group of layers that are already tweened. Like your work above, but moving it from one side of the screen to the other for example.
(^Instead, I had to become creative, so I hung the poor character xD ... which was -> :iconhtfcuddlesplz: )

It's actually not hard, all you have to do is pose the character first. So if you're animating a walk and you are in the stride pose, pose it accordingly, then using the move tool, select the entire puppet rig and move it to the right or left or up and down if you're animating a jump. Viola! Animation.

It's the simple things, like finding that move tool, that slows the learning process down, when I want to figure things out myself. xD ~ I better try tutorials too.
Thanks for the information and help! :)

Yeah, Flash can be confusing at first. It didn't sink in until six months after I took the class for me.
No problem!

I used Photoshop CS5 to animate but I'll have to try this one out sometime later on. Very good looking animation too. I'm thinking he's either a dingo or a kangaroo as for critique I think you could straighten out your lines a bit more and the legs should look the same width because one looks thicker than the other.

Photoshop is okay for animation but I wouldn't recommend it. Flash is much better and has finer control than Photoshop. Thank you! He's actually a wallaby but you were close with kangaroo.

The lines are rough because it was my first rig and I hand drew the symbols in Flash rather quickly so they are a bit noticeable but this was just for practice, really. They actually are the same width, they just don't appear that way because one is hidden behind the body symbol and the one closest to the viewer is slightly bigger to give off a bit of foreshortening. Again, it was really just for practice and when I make a serious rig, it will be much more refined than this.

Does this flash program have a more specific name (so I can google for it)?
