MiniNova Movie Design

Okay, so the other day, I was talking with a friend of mine about how superhero movies change the design and costume of the heroes they portray and I had the idea pop in my head to draw something up for what I think MiniNova would look like if they redesigned him for a movie. This is what I came up with. What do you think of the design? Would you see it if it was ever made into a movie?

Now, I have never been the greatest painter and this was something completely new for me that I tried for the very first time so it may look a bit rough. I haven't practiced with realism for years and years and I've never been much of a concept artist so don't judge me too harshly on the art. I also don't have much of a steady hand, which is why I'm not an inker. All that said, I tried something new and I used brushes and tools I've never used before to get the final result.

That said, what do you think of the armor? Should I add the armor into the comic?
