My first impression is that I like your use of color. That along with the design of the bird itself makes it an intriguing video that easily entices you to hit play!
I wish that I could see more of the body. I feel that would give a better impression of dancing. Also, for me, it feels a little rushed. This could be that you wanted it to feel as though it's dancing fast, or perhaps because this was a two hour exorcise, but I think you could get your point across with it moving a liiitttle slower. Squash and stretch would be nice as well when you get more time
The most impressive part of this is that the loop you've created here is smooth! There is no glitch at the seams. That is a truly impressive accomplishment in this sort of animation. A great study in a short amount of time!
Yep, that includes render time in After Effects, which takes me a good minute because AE is the bane of my existence. lmao Thank you! I feel it could be a lot better but I'm slow as a slug with art, but I much prefer quality over quantity and nothing is ever quite perfect anyway. This on the other hand was done in 4 hours fav.me/d6tb2dn but this is hand drawn animation, whereas the bird is the word. Whoops! I mean the bird is symbol animation so once I set up my symbols and broke them up, it was just a matter of rotating and moving pieces to animate him. I also copied and pasted keys a little and adjusted the ease on the classic tweens.
