Hmm, as much as I'd love that, it would be wasted on a drawing that's months and months old. Not to mention I already know every nook and cranny of what's right and wrong with it and it was my first run with the pen tool in Illustrator before I got better with it. Besides, I improve dramatically about every two to three months, sometimes faster. Heck, I didn't even incorporate shadows in this thing!
Oh, I know Ashley Williams.. Evil Dead 2 was made the year I was born and my 2D animation instructor, Rick Catizone was the animator for Henrietta's transformation and Ash's hand in that film.
I for one like this style! As for Illustrator, I tried it once, and totally sucked at it. xD Flash probably is limited when it comes to drawing, but I only need basic stuff for drawing simple parodies or HTF-like graphics...
Never underestimate your older works though. They can be an inspiration and you can always compare.
Wow, so you learn from some real experienced people. Best thing is that it was an independent movie, and Ash was a brilliant spoof of the regular movie heroes. I mostly liked the 3rd movie, though I saw on wikipedia, that it wasn't the most successful one...
Thanks! It's alright but it has its technical issues. I love Illustrator, it's just getting used to the pen tool and once you get that, it's pretty easy. Flash is actually really good for drawing but my favorite for inking is Sai and Photoshop for colors and texture.
Oh, trust me, I know. I kept EVERYTHING I've ever drawn. Even crappy fan art from Waaaaaaaayyyy back!
Thank you so much for the critique! It makes the time spent worthwhile! Yeah, I really have a children's book style of illustration going on, which is what really inspired the swirls for the wind. The feet are nothing more than my usual style for those. Three toes, a rounded ball and heels, so they're really just cartoony versions of real feet.
I tried to get some hardcore flow going on the tail and I think I succeeded for the most part. I'm happy with the feet for once, actually. They didn't end up looking weird or being too big, like I thought they would, though his hands came out a bit big. Thank you!
